Top 10 teams from the scramble qualify for the Derby competition.
All ten teams tee off on the same hole.
Alternating shots between the members of the team.
One team is eliminated on each hole.
If two or more teams tie on a hole for the worst score, then a chip off will occur, one shot per team, the team furthest from the hole is eliminated.
FEES:
$400 PER TEAM
Includes green fees, carts, tee prizes, lunch, participation in Jackpot.
JACKPOT:
$150 from each team’s entry fee will be placed into a jackpot. This jackpot will be used as script for the winning teams to share.
If 40 teams enter, the jackpot would be $6,000
If 30 teams enter, the jackpot would be $4,500 and so on.
ALL WINNINGS TO BE PAID IN KIND, SUCH AS GIFT CERTIFICATES TO PRO SHOP OR GIFTS OF FREE GOLF,
FREE MOTEL ROOMS, AND OTHER MERCHANDISE THAT WILL BE ON DISPLAY AT THE COURSE.
A portion of the proceeds from the tournament will be placed in the
Brinkerhoff Humanitarian Fund. Tod Brinkerhoff was a local horse trainer and was stricken with the Lou Gerhig disease.
Tod passed away recently from complications of the disease. His family and friends have set up this fund to provide scholarships,
assistance, and tuition fees to individuals that have a desire to go into a career in the horse industry. Donations will be added
to the principle of the fund. The principle will never be spent, only the interest will be available for gifting each year. Thank
